Dog and Cat Bowls - CANCELLED
Spoil your favorite canine and feline friends with a personalized food or water bowl. Enjoy getting your hands dirty as you learn basic hand building, shaping, texture and glazing techniques. All materials included for making one bowl. These make great gifts!

The 2016 Winter Recreation Program is scheduled to begin on Friday, January 8th (Floor Hockey) and Saturday January 9th (Basketball). The program will run for 10 weeks. The times for each age group are as follows:

AIKIDO At Ardsley
Aikido teaches self-defense using techniques of evasion, immobilization, and redirection to avoid an attack and then control the attacker. Students will learn to use the opponent’s force by neutralizing the aggressor’s actions. Self-defense, coordination, physical fitness, and confidence are all reasons to study Aikido. Children’s classes are open to all skill levels.

The little ninjas curriculum consists of developing eight major skills that are necessary for participation in any sport or activity. They are focus, team work, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness and coordination. In the little ninjas class learning is fun. Uniforms may be purchased from the instructor.

Parent - Child Yoga
Come have some fun with us, 45 minute complimentary classes being offered as an introduction to yoga. Parent and Child classes promote early development and provide a strong foundation for your child’s mental and physical well-being. And since you’re along for the ride, you’ll be right there to enjoy with smiles, hugs and the occasional adult-sized giggles. If you have a mat please bring one, there will be a limited amount of extra mats that will be cleansed after each class.
Registration preferred, drop-ins welcome.

Playful Chef

Do you love to act? Do you love the theatre? Theathre Horizon students work together to create an original play full of drama, comedy, suspense, and one-of-a-kind characters. Students are guided through play writing basics and fun improvisation games by our professional teaching artists who are trained in collaborative theater and use those skills to create an environment in which every student contributes and rises to the challenge. Theatre Horizon Drama Club nurtures each child’s talent, creativity, and unique voice while teaching skills of stagecraft, self confidence, creativity and imaginative play and how to work an ensemble!

Shining Knights Chess Club
Learn to play chess! Students of this program have competed in local, state, and national tournaments, placing as high as 10th in the nation. Class time is evenly split between lesson and play. Lesson topics range from learning the rules to advanced tournament strategies. During play time students are paired with opponents of similar skill levels for practice games.

Create your Own Comics!
Do you love to draw? Do you doodle on any scrap paper you can find? Have you ever thought about creating your very own comic strip? If you have answered YES to any of these questions then sign up for this wonderful comics workshop! Learn techniques to create your very own Comic strip OR Comic Book!!! Explore how to invent characters and develop a story line. Learn to apply different drawing techniques so you are equipped to illustrate your very own unique comic. An active imagination is a MUST for this workshop!

Let’s Do Robotics
Yes, We CAN learn about Robotics! With the LEGO™ WeDo Robotics Kits, you can build and program your own robotic creations. Designed by the experts at MIT, this system teaches simple machines, engineering, and programming. In this hands-on class, robots rule!

Awesome Robotics
Extend your knowledge of Robotics as you build and program unique projects. Whether its a car, a Ferris wheel or crane, this camp will be fun, challenging and AWESOME! The final project will be your unique Robot based on everything you have learned and your imagination.

Rocktop Basketball is now hosting the historic James Fox Basketball League. The James Fox Basketball is one of the most renowned basketball leagues in the greater Philadelphia / Abington area. With top notch instruction and competition, we aim to help each individual athlete develop his / her game.

The James Fox Basketball League will host a series of sessions that will include 45 minutes of skills and drills and 45 minutes of game play 2 to 3 days a week.
With purchase, players will receive a reversible jersey. All players will be required to wear his / her jersey to participate in all practices and games.



Please note: Some games and practices will be video taped for promotional and recruiting purposes.
